WHAT IS IT?
Cryotherapy is a cold therapy taken to the next tech level, by exposing the entire body to extremely cold (-110 Celsius) dry air for up to three minutes in a climate-controlled cryo-chamber. - Improves brain function, sleep quality, performance, and immune function. - Activates quicker muscle recovery and healing processes. - Reduces inflammation, eczema and other skin conditions. - Boosts blood circulation, collagen, and endorphins.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A SESSION?
We have a high-end double cryo-chamber that is designed for four-person use. During a cryotherapy session, the body is exposed to a temperature of -110 degrees of dry cold air. Once the session begins you will spend 20 seconds at -60 degrees, before entering the second chamber of -100 degrees where you will spend up to 2 minutes and 40 seconds. This has an unprecedented number of effects, including more energy, less stress, better sleep, and faster recovery after exercise.

How should I prepare for a session?
  • If it's your first cryotherapy session with us, kindly complete this Health Intake form before your appointment.
  • Refrain from applying oils, lotions, or cologne before your treatment.
  • Avoid consuming caffeinated drinks or engaging in high-intensity activity immediately before your session.
  • Please ensure that your hair and body are completely dry before entering the cryo-chamber.
  • Remove any jewelry or body piercings below the neck before entering the cryo-chamber. We recommend doing so in advance and storing your items in our lockers.
  • We suggest wearing underwear, shorts, a bathing suit, or a bikini during your cryotherapy session. We’ll provide boots, gloves, a mouth mask, and a headband to protect your extremities (hands, feet, mouth, and ears) from the cold.

Are there any contraindications or people who shouldn’t use it? While cryotherapy is safe for most individuals, it may not be suitable for those with certain medical conditions, such as uncontrolled hypertension, cold-related conditions like Raynaud’s disease, pregnancy, or severe cardiovascular issues. Individuals with implanted medical devices, active skin conditions, or open wounds should consult a healthcare provider before undergoing cryotherapy.
How many cryotherapy sessions are ideal for optimal benefits? Each individual responds to cryotherapy differently, and outcomes can vary based on personal health goals and physiology. As a general guideline, we recommend the following:
  • Athletic Performance & Recovery: 2–3 cryotherapy sessions per week can help reduce inflammation, support muscle recovery, and enhance overall physical readiness.
  • Injury & Rehabilitation: 3–5 sessions per week during the acute phase of injury can help manage inflammation and pain, tapering to 1–2 sessions weekly as healing progresses.
  • Cognitive Boost & Stress Management: 1–3 sessions per week may support mental clarity, reduce stress, and promote a balanced nervous system.
  • Jet Lag & Travel Recovery: 1–3 sessions after travel may help reset your circadian rhythm, reduce fatigue, and restore energy levels.

Can I combine Cryotherapy with other treatments at Renessence?Absolutely! Cryotherapy is an excellent addition to your recovery and wellness routine, and it pairs particularly well with our Oxygen Hydroxy sessions to amplify the benefits of cellular oxygenation, inflammation reduction, and overall vitality. Together, they create a powerful synergy for enhanced performance and recovery. We also recommend combining a Cryotherapy session with a Well-being Studio Class.*Please note: - Due to health and safety reasons, undergoing two cold exposure therapies on the same day, such as Cryotherapy + Ice Baths, is not part of our treatment protocol at Renessence.-Due to the contrasting effects and extreme temperature differences between Cryotherapy and Infrared Sauna, we recommend the following sequence for optimal safety and effectiveness: Cryotherapy → 40-minute Body Reset → Infrared Sauna.For your well-being, we advise against using the Infrared Sauna before Cryotherapy, and this combination is not part of our treatment protocol at Renessence.
