Float, RESTORE and REBALANCE

Floating

A quietly transformative experience that meets you
where you are

THE EXPERIENCE

Floating sits at the heart of our Restore and Rebalance circles. If you’re feeling stressed, overstimulated, or simply off, floating can offer a space for the body and mind to soften at its own pace. Held effortlessly in warm, mineral-rich water, the nervous system eases, breath slows, and tension begins to release. Over time, the body learns to settle, let go, and listen.

inside the float

You float in a private, closable pod designed for a deeply immersive experience. The lid can be opened or closed at any time, whichever feels more supportive. Earplugs are provided, alongside optional head support, allowing you to feel held throughout your session.

FAQs

Can I combine Floating with other treatments at Renessence?

A Float session is the foundation for a recharging journey. This treatment pairs seamlessly with Hyperbaric Oxygen Hydroxy, Infrared Sauna, and Massages for improved restoration. For an optimized experience we recommend an infrared sauna session prior to a float for the body to fully cleanse and open the pores for optimized magnesium absorption.

How many Floating sessions are ideal for optimal benefits?

Individual responses to floating vary depending on personal health goals and physiology. As a general guideline:

  • Stress Relief & Mental Clarity: 1–3 sessions per week can promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and enhance focus.
  • Athletic Recovery: 2–3 sessions weekly may aid muscle recovery and reduce inflammation.
  • Sleep Improvement: Regular sessions can help reset sleep cycles and improve overall sleep quality.
Is Floating suitable for those with claustrophobia?

Our float rooms are designed to provide a calming and spacious environment. For individuals who feel uneasy in enclosed spaces, we recommend booking the Open Float, which offers a more open and spacious feel. Additionally, the treatment settings can be adjusted, such as leaving the lights on to ensure comfort throughout the session.

Is Floating suitable for pregnancy?

Floating is a safe treatment that can offer gentle, natural relief for many common pregnancy discomforts. Magnesium absorption through the skin may help reduce muscle cramps, improve sleep quality, and support overall stress relief, making it a soothing and restorative experience for expecting mothers.

This treatment is recommended between week 12 to week 36.

Are there any contraindications or people who shouldn’t do Floating?

While floating is safe for most people, it may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions such as untreated epilepsy, severe claustrophobia, open wounds, or certain skin infections. Pregnant individuals and those with specific medical concerns or on certain medications should consult their healthcare provider before floating.

How should I prepare for a Floating session?
  • Please bring your swimwear.
  • Prior to your session, we recommend hydrating well and visiting the restroom if needed.
  • Make sure to shower and rinse your body with warm water before your floating session to remove any skin products or excess transpiration. Avoid using body products such as body wash or body lotion. This prepares your pores to absorb as much magnesium as possible.
  • To fully prepare your body for a relaxing experience, it’s best to avoid caffeinated beverages, heavy meals or high-intensity activities.
  • Refrain from shaving before your session, as the salt-rich water may cause a stinging sensation.
  • We recommend to avoid float sessions shortly after dying your hair to prevent potential color fading or irritation.
What should I feel after a Floating session?

Reactions to floating vary widely. Some people experience deep relaxation, mental clarity, or a sense of calm immediately after a session, while others may not notice immediate changes. This is completely normal. Many of the benefits, such as reduced stress, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation accumulate over time with repeated sessions. Even without an obvious sensation, your body and mind are still benefiting from the sensory reduction and restorative effects.
